Strange

_{It’s strange, but the way you look right now sort of looks like this tree…}

_{The very first time I played this game, something about this part bothered me. I didn’t know exactly how Link became a Deku scrub, but later, when you get the Goron and Zora masks, it’s a known fact that somebody had to die in order for Link to have a mask that would transform him into that character.}

_{Later, when you get the Mask of Scents from the Deku butler, he says that you remind him of his missing son… perhaps that was where the mask came from. I don’t know what the Skull Kid did to the poor Deku scrub, but whatever it was, it must have been torturous for him to die with that look on his face.}
